Crop Walk

Annually we participate in the Church World Service (CWS) Crop Walk.  This activity is organized by the Reading Council of Churches and Reading Food Bank.  We spend a Sunday afternoon walking with other churches and organizations to raise funds and awareness for local and world hunger.  Generally, 75% of the funds raised go to the Reading Food Bank to fight local hunger, and 25% go to fight world hunger through CWS.  Usually this takes place in October.

Relay for Life

Annually we participate in the American Cancer Society's (ACS) Relay for Life.  With other churches, community groups, and individuals we walk from 5:00pm Friday to 12:00noon Saturday to raise funds and awareness to fight cancer.  Usually this takes place in May at the Schuylkill Valley High School.

Mensch Mill Church Camp

Through our Pennsylvania Southeast Conference we support a local church camp.  It is a camp that we highly recommend that many of our youth and adult members have attended.  Even our pastor went to Mensch Mill as a youth.

Muhlenberg Volunteer Home Care

Muhlenberg Volunteer Home Care (MVHC) is an ecumenical group of various churches throughout the Muhlenberg area who seek to provide assistance to our elderly.  This assistance is generally transportation for doctor appointments.  We provide support both through members volunteering and through contributions of funds.  We give our thanks to our Lutheran brothers and sisters as their denomination provides the organization for the MVHC.
